Who is Cícero Costha

Cícero Costha is one of the most respected coaches in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Born in the Ipiranga district of São Paulo, Brazil, he earned his black belt under Marco Barbosa after training under Rocian Gracie from white to brown belt — a direct line to the Gracie family roots of the art. As a competitor, Costha was among the top featherweights of his generation, with podium finishes at the IBJJF World Championship, the Brazilian Nationals, and the JJ Grand Prix in Japan.

PSLPB — Projeto Social Lutando Pelo Bem

Cícero founded PSLPB (Projeto Social Lutando Pelo Bem — “Fighting for Good”) to bring Jiu-Jitsu to underprivileged youth in São Paulo. That social project became one of the most successful talent factories in the sport’s history, producing world-class athletes such as Leandro Lo and the Miyao brothers.
